Get It Cheaper! Isabel Marant: Wedge Sneakers

(click through credit)
Miranda Kerr (pictured above) sold me on these! I was fairly unenthusiastic about these when they first hit the stands but i must say they look hot hot hot on our favourite Victoria's Secret model and i want me some! However, at £440 and sold out everywhere i didn't think i would be picking a pair up anytime soon until...TA-DA these nearly indentical look-a-likes are now on eBay for a much more reasonable £27.99!

Alternatively if eBay isn't your thing, wedged sneaks are slowly popping up on the high street in stores such as River Island and New Look- go check them out!

Topshop Liquid Liner: Review

I apologise for having not written a post in ages but being in the midst of exam season my post inspiration is running low. It seems a bit redundant to review a product that seems to be discontinued but i'm going to do it anyway. A quick google search showed me that it was rated 4.5/5 by Topshop customers on their review site. The Topshop Liquid liner comes in their signature monochrome vintage inspired packaging which is cute however the only downside to this liquid liner.

The consistency is runny and manageable and the colour is true black and very pigmented and dries to a slightly matte finish with decent 3/4 hour lasting power on my oily lids. I do find that this will have smudged by the end of the day and will be gone completely if i rub my eyes though so a good primer is recommended! The applicator is a firm foam tip which enables ease of use (great for eyeliner rookies like me!) and tapers to a fine tip so your liner can be as thick or as thin as you want it.

Now back to the downside, the only major qualm i have with this is that the applicator comes laden with product so i always have to take all the excess off on my hand before applying however Topshop have recently discontinued this and brought in a new pen liner which i have heard good reviews about. I'm hoping they've kept it the same formula so i may be in for a repurchase once i've finished this one...

My Unii Palette!

unii palette lavender unii palette

A couple days ago my unii palette came in the post and i couldn't wait to blog about it! I have been eye-balling this lavender one for ages and i'm so glad i finally ordered it! I love the fact that it has a massive mirror and comes in super cute pastel colours although i didn't realise they are slightly glittery or the purple one is anyway (just a word of warning) but i still love mine. They are also quite sturdy made from strong plastic so i get the feeling these will survive a drop or two.

I've decided to fill mine with all my miscellaneous high street neutrals so that this palette forms my own personal naked palette dupe. I did have 2 other colours that i meant to include as well but they didn't quite survive the depotting process :'( turns out its a lot harder than it looks but the box comes with handy instructions and diagrams. It comes with a sheet of sticky magnets so you can cut them to size and stick them to the bottom of your pans however i wish they were a bit stronger because my pans have a tendency to slip and slide off of the magnet stickers!

All in all, i'm very happy with my Unii palette though and i'm definitely planning on buying more (and hopefully utilising the multi-buy discount next time). My only criticisms were that i wish they did some bigger ones too and that their website stated that they were deep enough to fit brushes in from certain brands like elf and Japonesque however the only brush i find, that sits comfortably inside the palette once closed, is a tiny Body Shop brush.
